Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice!
By Sade Cox
Just when we thought we would have a few more days of summer during our fall semester at Kean, the temperature began to change. But nothing else will make students appreciate the cold weather more than a soothing, warm sip of the all-time favorite Pumpkin Spice Latte, available at Kean’s Library Starbucks.
Most students and staff enjoy the Pumpkin Spice Latte not only for its deliciousness, but because it reminds them of a freshly baked slice of pumpkin pie.
In late August, the Pumpkin Spice Latte announced its early return on its personal twitter account (@TheRealPSL), as fans of the beverage tweeted in anticipation. The drink’s official release date was September 2, just in time for the start of the fall semester.
“Students are coming in to order the pumpkin spice syrup, not only the drink. The syrup can be added to a variety of drinks like the frappuccinos, cappuccinos, lattes, and ice coffees,” said Dwayne, the acting manager of the campus’ Starbucks.
The return of the Pumpkin Spice Latte has drawn students from all over Kean, resulting in long lines to request the drink’s flavorful kick.
“Roughly 2,300 customers order drinks on average and about 1,000 of those customers orders the pumpkin spice drinks,” said Dwayne.
So as midterm exams approach, no matter what kind of refreshment you order from Starbucks’, you could always add a little spice to your busy day.
