Kean University was ablaze with school spirit today as thousands of prospective students and their families flooded the campus for the Fall 2015 Undergraduate Open House.

This was the largest open house the university has hosted, attracting nearly 4,500 people today, said Kean spokeswoman Susan Kayne.

Attendees were greeted at Harwood Arena — which was decked out in signature blue banners — with music, dancers and speakers including Vice President Philip Connelly.

The Kean University Pep Band, which was directed by Josh Minzner today, treated a steady flow of people along the Cougar Walk under sunny skies as they made their way to one of Kean’s many eateries for a free lunch.

After refueling, several academic presentations took place throughout each department on campus in the hopes of swaying future college students to choose Kean University.

Tomorrow, Kean University will kick off a graduate open house from 12:30 to 3 p.m. A $75 application fee will be waived for attendees. For more information and to register, visit www.grad.kean.edu/openhouse.
