The Office of Alumni Relations will host the Night of Stars, a networking opportunity for
students and alumni, on Nov. 30. The event will be held in the North Avenue Academic Building (NAAB) from 6-8 p.m.

The event allows students to connect with successful alumni, in addition to companies located in the Tristate area.

“The main advantage students have is to learn about the importance of networking and being able to ask professionals about their experience in order to minimize the amount of mistakes they could make in the career,” said Giselle Mamolejos, professional service specialist for the Office of Alumni Relations.

According to keanalumni.org, three professionals will speak at the event. Vice President of
Wealth and Management at Merrill Lynch, Patricia M. Barksdale; Founder and Executive
Director at Bright Future Club, Inc., Linda Baron; and Senior Vice President at CNBC, Steve Fastook.

This will be the second Night of Stars event. Last years positive feedback and turnout of 150 attendees led to a second year of opportunity.

“[The event] allows students to meet mentors who can advise them in the best possible ways and to address their future and maximize their possibilities, “ said Mamolejos.

The event requires attendees to wear professional attire. Registration is also required because seats are limited.

If interested in the attending the Night of Stars, register by Wednesday, Nov. 22. Please contact the Office of Alumni Relations at 908-737- 2586 or alumni@kean.edu with any questions.
