Walking into the atrium, students can venture up to the Involvement Center by the elevator located by the food center. Students can also stop by the Center for Leadership and Service (CLS) Room 219 for quick pointers for events to join.
Mark Dahmar, a senior majoring in Education is very helpful in regard to guiding students to clubs, organizations and events.
“You just go to the Kean website and click on quicklinks and then, click on Cougar Link for information on organizations, events and current involvement activities,” said Dahmar.
Students wanting more in-depth information on hand, can go to the third floor Room 303 and check out the sign-up sheets. There are tons of events written on a calendar on the wall which gives students a quick look at what is going on. Some people prefer to look online while others may want to ask questions.
Sarah Otero, a sophomore majoring in Theater can walk students through the Involvement Centers’ many offerings!
“Students can come here and make an appointment with an Involvement Center Specialist to help them get involved. They will discuss inquiring students’ interests and availability to figure out what would be the best fit for them,” said Otero.
The Involvement Center offers resources for events that are held on campus. They can help with many areas such as club event planning as well.
“We are here to help our peers grow and network,” said Otero.
