November 6 cannot come soon enough for many Kean gamers as it is finally time for 343 Industries to unveil their long-awaited Halo 4 project.

The much-anticipated Halo game has been getting massive amounts of hype since its announcement at E3 back in 2011 where the first trailer of Halo 4 became public. Since then, more and more news has been slowly released to fans.

In recent weeks, a few videos have been surfacing on the internet showing a few multiplayer maps that Halo 4 will include, and also a preview of some of the weapons that the new game will be utilizing. From the looks of things that have been released to the public already, the game sure does look promising.

This will be 343 Industries first Halo game since taking over for former makers of the Halo series, Bungie.

“I think 343 Industries will do a good job with their creation,”said William Doherty, a sophomore at Kean. “I’ve always been more inclined to the Gears of War series, but with all the new additions to Halo 4 coming out I think I will definitely pick up a copy.”

Halo 4 appears to be a change of pace since the last Halo game that was released in 2010, Halo: Reach. 343 Industries has stated on multiple occasions that they have tried to implement as much of the fans input into the game as possible, in order to make it a fresh new game but to also bring it back to the old feel of the original Halo shooter.

“I am a die-hard fan of the Halo series and I am really excited to see what the new game has in-store for fans,”said Chris Formisano, a junior at Kean. “Between the new enemies being introduced in the single-player campaign and the online multiplayer bringing all new armor and weapon capabilities, what’s there not to be excited about with this game?”

One thing that is certain for Halo 4 is that it definitely has some big shoes to fill after the previous Halo games that have been released. Whether Halo 4 will meet or fall short of those expectations remains to be seen.
