The Nancy Thompson Library is currently under construction to add a new commuter resource center. This project started late this summer and is still in the process of being worked on. It is right outside of Starbucks and is not hard to miss.

The project will be a resource center for those who do not live on campus. It will be a place for commuters to come and relax while also being able to pick up some Starbucks while they are there. Its location is very convenient being that it is in a central space on campus.

Many students who are commuters are very happy with the new addition to the Nancy Thompson Library.

“It’s really cool that they did that for commuters,” says senior, Matt Durrant. “There’s never really much to do on campus for commuters, so I think this new resource center will help.”

Along with the new resource center, Kean also offers the commuter cafe located in the Miron Student Center.

Some students, however, are not very happy with the new project.

“I’m kind of upset that they took away the seating outside of Starbucks,” says Senior Ashley Winrow. “My friends and I used to sit out there all the time when it was nice out.”

The construction is set to be finished by this Spring so that students will be able to enjoy the nice weather along with the new addition to the building. Even though some students may not like the new changes, it will be very beneficial to those who do not live on campus.
