There were seven hit and runs reported at Kean University between Nov. 2 and Nov. 20, four of which were in the Vaughn Eames parking lot, according to Kean police records.

The hit and run incidents took place on Nov. 2 in Hennings Hall parking lot at 1:23 p.m., and on Nov. 3 at 2:14 p.m. in the Vaughn Eames parking lot. Two hit and runs took place on Nov. 16 in the Kean Hall and Whitehouse Road lots within 10 minutes of each other, at 6:44 p.m. and 6:55 p.m. respectively.

Other hit and runs took place on Nov. 17 at 8:58 p.m. in the Vaughn Eames parking lot, on Nov. 18 at 2:07 p.m. in the Willis parking lot, and on Nov. 20 at 8:10 a.m. in the Vaughn Eames parking lot.

No one was hit in any of the incidents and there were no reported injuries, said Kean University spokeswoman Margaret McCorry.

“New Jersey is a ‘no-fault’ state and these incidents are typically reported to one’s insurance company in order to cover costs related to the accident, like vehicle body damage,” said McCorry.
