The event has three goals it plans to achieve according to Joanne Beiter, director at the Office of Internships and Cooperative Education.
First, is to get as many business and accounting students internships at companies as possible. Second, is to assist seniors in getting entry level jobs so that they can start their careers.
Finally, the event looks at “increasing professionalism among our business students,” said Beiter.
The internship fair is the finishing touch on a semester long set of job skills workshops which helped students with everything involved in the process. This includes resumes, cover letters, mock interviews, and building an online presence.
