Softball sweeps doubleheader against Moravian

Down early in both games, somehow Kean University softball was able to pull out
two wins in the doubleheader against Moravian College Thursday afternoon.

In game one, the Cougars were down 1-0 early in the first inning but came back in
the bottom of the first when Kelly Moorehead drove in two runs and from there the
team never looked back.

Katie Schuh also added two RBI in the game as the Cougars took game one from
Moravian 5-1. Courtney Yard picked up her sixth win of the season.

It was a different story in the second game.

The Cougars were down 2-1 in the bottom of the sixth inning, Moorehead came up
clutch again driving in two runs. Then freshman starter Casey Glatts hit a home run
that capped of a five-run inning, which propelled the Cougars to a 6-2 win.

Glatts picked up the win moving to 5-2 on the season.

With the win, Kean moves to 14-8 on the season.
