As finals week and end of the spring semester approaches, many Kean students are starting to feel the hint of summer vacation and the relief of almost being done.

Some are just excited to be over with the academic year, while others are completely drained out from all the papers, exams and note taking.

The library is no longer packed with students cramming last minute information for an upcoming exam, or to work on their research paper for whatever course they have.

Students who dorm are using the large, yellow mobile containers to file out their belongings in to their vehicles, getting to head back home for the next three months.

Some students shared what they would be doing this summer vacation with a lot of enthusiasm. The Tower’s very own editor, Craig Epstein said he is pumped for summer vacation and ready for the relaxation and fun it is to bring.

“I feel like it’s a relief that now I can take a break and take a breath,” said Epstein, who is  ending his sophomore year as a communications major. “I’ll be going to Baltimore for about a week, then Ocean City for another week, and just work after that,”

Many students like Epstein will be working as well. They like to take advantage of their new free time to work as many hours as they can and save up.

However, senior students feel much more ecstatic, with the end of the semester here. This is to no surprise; they are all graduating and moving forward with their lives.

Senior Cynthia Torres, a Special Education major, said she will be partying after graduation in celebration of finally having made it.

“It took me a little longer than usual since I took a break in between two semesters, but I’m finally here,” said Torres. “I’m just glad to say I made it and can go on and focus on my future career.”
