The staff of the UC’s Game Room says goodbye to the fall 2012 semester

As the fall 2012 semester is slowly coming to an end, staff members of the University Center’s Game Room were told to meet for the last time; however, they weren’t told they would be paid to have fun.
The staff was ordered to participate in a group building activity, which consisted of creating beautiful gingerbread houses—full of holiday spirit—in teams and then eventually eat them.
It was a nice way to bring all of the workers together one last time to remember each other in a creative way.
“It was so cool to come together with my co-workers in the holiday spirit,” Rasheedah Russell, a communications major, said.
After discussing what’s in store for all of them next semester, they congratulated those team members who are graduating this December. The soon-to-be graduates were given alumni sweaters and tassels.
Everyone celebrated with food and drinks while reminiscing on the memories, the good times and all of the friendships that were built on the job.
“I’m going to miss everyone I had the pleasure working with,” Russell said. “It’s true what they say, [that] our staff is like a family, and I can’t wait for the day I graduate and represent the university.”
