Where To Celebrate St. Patty’s Day At Kean

It’s that time of the year again! During March at Kean University, not only do students look forward to the upcoming spring recess, but they also have upcoming St. Patrick’s Day events.

The festive Irish holiday takes place on Thursday, March 17. You don’t have to be Irish to enjoy the festivities of the day. Just make sure you wear green and celebrate.

For those who plan to participate in the holiday, here is a list of events on campus to help you achieve the ultimate St. Patrick’s Day experience.

On Saturday, March 5, the Office of Residential Student Services will be hosting a St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Free food and items will be included at the freshmen multi-purpose room from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Saturday, March 12, Union County will be hosting its annual St. Patrick’s Days parade at 1 p.m. The parade begins with the marching units gathered on Morris Avenue and ends at Roosevelt Avenue. The parade also has stand festivities, including a kid zone and fun for all ages, at noon at Morris and Stuyvesant Avenue.

On Thursday, March 17, join the student government association class of 2024 and the Office of Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) as they host a St. Patrick’s Day celebration at the Mirion student center from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
